John Lee

Meet John Lee

Father, husband, and grandfather. Avid cyclist. The mayor who revitalized North Las Vegas. Or, simply, John.

John Lee is a proven conservative leader who knows what it takes to turn a problem around. Whether that’s fixing a leaking pipe, creating hundreds of valley jobs, or rescuing a failing city, when John sees a problem, he rolls up his sleeves and gets to work.

Armed with a strong work ethic and a desire for more, John quickly became a master plumber before starting several small businesses. Throughout the years, he acquired valuable experience he’d later take to the mayor’s office and fix the fiasco that was North Las Vegas.

In 2013, John was elected as mayor of North Las Vegas, and using the same conservative principles that made him a successful businessman, he set out to turn the city around. John revitalized the city, promoted economic growth, and attracted major companies including Amazon, Evanesce, and Nuro to invest in the city, without imposing additional fees or taxes.

Thanks to John’s conservative approach, North Las Vegas returned to an A Bond rating.

John Lee is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. John and his wife, Marilyn, have been married for 49 years. Together they have seven children, 31 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
